Mobile Task Force Update |
The Mobile Task Force investigates and builds mobile solutions for CDS designed to enhance the attendee and exhibitor event experience. The Task Force has begun work on creating the industry’s first, multi-platform mobile lead retrieval solution. The system, currently under construction, will run on the exhibitor’s own web-enabled mobile device.
The system will include all of the features available on other X•Press Leads lead retrieval equipment including adding notes, answering qualifying questions and editing scanned contact information. In addition to these standard features, functionality unique to cell phones will be incorporated to create a unique and powerful experience.
The system will be in beta testing during the Fall of 2010. If you have a Fall event and are interested in being on our list of beta events, please contact your Account Executive.

X•Press Leads Videos |
In order to help exhibitors understand and make the most of lead collection and follow-up, CDS produced a series of videos that promote our X•Press Leads products and services and help exhibitors make the right choices to realize a positive ROI.
The videos are posted in the CDS site and accessible to our event clients for linking from their event web site, email blasts and other online event promotions. The videos are short, to the point and highlight the important features of the X•Press Leads family of products and services.
To view the videos in the CDS web site, go to: http://www.cdsreg.com/products/exhibitors.aspx. If you have questions, or would like to use the videos with your online event promotions, contact your Account Executive or marketing@cdsreg.com.

Advisory Group 2010 |
CDS held its annual Advisory Group meeting in Hyannis, Massachusetts on July 26th and 27th. The Advisory Group is comprised of representatives from a wide range of CDS’ clients. The Group provides insight into current industry trends as well as direction for ongoing CDS product and service development.
This year’s event featured a presentation by Erik Qualman, a leading thinker and presenter on social media. The presentation was enlightening even to an audience that has extensive exposure to and experience with social media. Erik’s video about social media has been incorporated in many other social media presentations and webinars. You can view the video and other social media spots on Erik’s web site: http://socialnomics.net/video/.

Integrations with Event Tech Vendors |
CDS has developed over 100 data sharing exchanges using web services with event technology vendors who offer event marketing, networking and audience engagement products and services. By integrating with leading industry vendors, CDS is able to offer our clients a complete range of services as well as help our clients find the best match for their needs among the many new technologies available.
In order to increase the speed and ease of integrations with third party vendors, CDS has created an API “bridge.” The bridge standardizes the way CDS shares data and allows us to integrate with vendors in a consistent fashion. We have used the bridge to integrate with housing partners like Travel Planners and onPeak as well as large, non-industry services like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
For more information on integrations, please contact your Account Executive.
